I received this email from a fellow Marionite and Class of 67 member, Sussanne Gerald. Apparently, not enough of our young people are applying for scholarships and therefore the money is just sitting. Whether or not that information can be verified - it is "valuable information" and for those who may not have made it into college for the Fall term, perhaps this will be useful for them. I added a link from the "Official Marionites Site" rather than display a long list on it's home page. Thanks Sussanne!
Also, for those of us who have reached that magical age of 60 and above we have new and interesting things we can pursue by way of education - and in most cases (for FREE!) Any classes that you may have been wanting to take since you've been out of school - now is the time! We've gotta keep those brains moving so that Alzheimers does not find a "home" in them! Here are a couple of websites to pursue as well:
http://www.fastweb.com/ and
http://www.supercollege.com/. Why not check them out today!
The email follows.
