Why are the leaders of  a city and county with a history of textiles and agriculture seem not able to generate any New companies .Our city has a rich legacy of  hard -working people ,so why can't we keep a foctory OPEN? It seems that we need our politicians to get on the ball or either let someone else do what  they are either yoo lazy to do or don/t have the apptitude to do.

It's unfortunate and it really cannot be blamed on this economy because it started  long before that.  There must be a better way to "revitalize" Marion.  Someone should be able to come up with something.  It's a wonderful town.  It would be nice even having a movie theatre back there again.  One where we can sit "downstairs" this time.  Also a nice shopping center so that folks don't always have to go to Florence anytime they need something special.  There are enough people in Marion I do believe that would support a decent Mall.
